The 28th edition of the City Jogging was on Sunday 3rd July 2011, with 22C, sunshine and 4000 people participating. At 9h45 was the Warm-Up on Music from Sport pour Tous, at 10h the start for the joggers. At 10h was the Warm-Up for the Walkers and Nordic-Walkers, start at 10h15. Through the town of Luxembourg, there are nice places to see, the Petrusse Vallee, the City Centre and the “Trois Glands”, European Commission, Mudam, Philharmonie, la Coque. And at the arrival there was Barbeque and Champagne.

Frank Schleck and Cancellara were some of the stars featuring the famous Tour de Luxembourg, held always in June in Luxembourg, just before the famous Tour de France. With sunshine and temperatures of 25-28 C the weather conditions were perfect, maybe a little warm, but the spectators in town and in the Grand-Duchy appreciated the wonderful atmosphere, in the Prologue on Wednesday night, in town, and at the arrival on Sunday afternoon.

The ING-Europe-Marathon was on Saturday 11 June 2011, with 8000 runners at the start and 150.000 spectators in town. The weather was cold and dry, perfect for the runners, maybe a little fresh for the spectators. The different music bands were a good motivation for the runner, as well as the drinks and food and the good mood all over. The winner was as fast as me, but he did the marathon, I did the half marathon.
